Ronnie Biggs escape book

This is the book that was used at Wandsworth prison to keep a record of the whereabouts of Ronnie Biggs. These books were kept outside the cells of anyone thought to be a potential escaper. The prison officers had to note down and sign every time the prisoner was moved.

The last entry is an historic moment, Ronnie was noted as going to the excercise yard at 2.30 pm. As we all know that was bound to be the last entry as half an hour later he went over the wall and was gone!
